The weather this year has been more typical of a mid-west winter than the last several years, that is until yesterday...
Yesterday, it warmed up to 60 degrees in the morning and stayed that way through out most of the day. The warm sunshine was a nice break from the grey skies and the snow but wait...
Here is where it get's interesting. It started to rain and rain it did. Over the course of the late afternoon and early evening, it rained almost 3 inches and then the wind kicked up. 56 mile an hour gusts! The rain was going side ways and my youngest was terrified that she would be blown away. My oldest went outside and literally leaned into the wind. I wish I had my camera with me to take a picture of that. It was so funny!
We get home around 10pm last night after church, school activities and delivering 3 other kids home to find out that there is a 2 hour delay for today. What? Why is this happening? Turns out there is flooding, branches down everywhere, and some people with no electricity.... Okay, that makes more sense. The bus drivers don't want to drive in the dark so we set our alarms for 2 hours early and wake up to...
Another sunny day! Can't wait to see what happens today
